The musical Come From Away tells the true story of togetherness in uncertain times. When American airspace was closed on September 11, 2001, the day of the attacks, 38 planes were forced to land in the Canadian town of Gander.

The small community immediately joined hands to shelter and care for the more than 7,000 stranded travelers for several days. Come From Away shows how a crisis situation can bring out the best in people. In this heartwarming musical, fear and distrust give way to hope, emotion, humor and love.

The musical was nominated 12 times and won four Musical Awards at the 2022 Musical Awards Gala. Come From Away premiered at the new Luxor Theater in Rotterdam on November 18, 2021 and played its final performance in June 2022.
